The Affordable Care Act set requirements for employers to offer health insurance to full-time employees if the business had fifty or more full-time or full-time equivalent employees. These requirements were initially going to be put into effect in 2014; however, the government has recently decided to postpone the start of the requirement for one year until January 2015.
This delay will allow employers more time to become familiar with the requirements and ensure systems are set up properly to meet the new requirements.

Even though these requirements have been delayed, you may still have to give notice to employees of coverage options under FLSA and COBRA. Read the technical release on the Department of Labor website.
