We recently closed the office early, and enjoyed an afternoon in Saugatuck. We started out by taking a ride on the Star of Saugatuck, a paddleboat that takes you on a tour of the Kalamazoo River and out into Lake Michigan. We had perfect weather, and our captain was very informative. Following the boat ride, […]
On Friday, a few of us participated in the CDS Lakeshore Head Start Caring For Kids golf outing. We were one of the sponsors this year. It was a great day of golfing and fun out at Macatawa Legends, and the weather was outstanding!
Thursday October 15, 2015, was the deadline for individual tax returns that were extended from April. So on Friday we closed down the office early and headed over to the Saugatuck Dune Rides to celebrate the end of tax season 2015. Our driver Scott took great care of us, and was very informative. It was […]
We’ve been enjoying the weather lately here in West Michigan. So today we headed out to our parking lot for an impromptu picnic. We grilled burgers and brats, and enjoyed this beautiful day. It’s true – food always tastes better when you eat it outside.
A couple weeks ago we closed the office for the day. In the morning, we participated in team building activities at The Haworth Center, and worked to refine our firm’s Mission, Vision and Values. We then enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Mario’s Pizzeria. The highlight of the day was golfing at West Ottawa Golf Club […]

As seen in the picture above, we had to bundle up because the air temperature was about 25 degrees and the wind was blowing briskly from the North at 20 miles per hour. What […]
In October, our office took time out of our busy schedule to spend a day focusing on teamwork. We spent the morning participating in a photo scavenger hunt across the city of Holland. The scavenger hunt took us to a variety of places in Holland. We visited the top of Mt. Pisgah, the DeZwaan […]
We recently attended a West Michigan Whitecaps game with our families. We enjoyed a great meal on the deck, and watched the game action from right behind the first base side dugout. It was great to spend time with our coworkers and their families outside of the office.
To help out with Tulip Time the Geenen & Kolean team placed stakes in the ground with tulip labels, so those enjoying the flowers can know which kind they are looking at. It felt great to help the community prepare for Tulip Time!
To celebrate the end of tax season we took a walk along the Mt. Pisgah Dune Boardwalk. It was chilly; however, the relaxation of a satisfying walk and the beautiful views were well worth the colder temperatures. What a great way to end a wonderful tax season!
